  • DOCUMENTATION OF OUR ONLINE SEMINAR

Heat at Work in an Asian Context

On 16 April October 2026, Naturland Academy conducted an online seminar on agricultural work in a changing climate and its implications of heat stress on occupational health and safety.

The seminar focussed specifically on Asia. This documentation provides recordings and presentation slides from the seminar. Furthermore, you can find our Naturland briefing paper summarizing key insights on heat and stress in agricultural working conditions in different languages at the end.

Climate change affects our environment in multiple ways. For example, periods of excessive heat are becoming more frequent and pose severe risks to human health – particularly for those working outdoors in sectors such as agriculture.

The online seminar explored the impact of heat on working conditions in agriculture and the effects of heat stress on workers’ safety.
