This online event will explore the topic of labour and human rights in global agricultural supply chains.
We will introduce international human rights agreements such as the ILO core labour standards or the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Furthermore, we will outline Naturland's social responsibility standards, which Naturland introduced as a pioneer in 2005.
Part of the event will be a virtual round table, where the current challenges of agricultural workers and their right to decent work will be discussed from different perspectives and against the background of the country-specific contexts of Uganda, Germany and Ecuador.

The roundtable will gather three stakeholders representing the voices of the world of work who will identify the main challenges faced by agricultural workers and discuss the role of trade unions and how collective bargaining can contribute to better protection for agricultural workers’ rights.
